Pathwise ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Email address — collected at checkout to deliver your report and send order confirmations.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. Pathwise never stores your card details.
• Major selection — the major(s) you input at checkout, used solely to generate your report.
• Usage data — anonymous analytics (pages visited, browser type) to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is included.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To generate and deliver your report via email.
• To send order confirmation and support communications.
• To improve the Pathwise product based on aggregate usage patterns.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Supabase — database and authentication. Data is stored securely on their infrastructure.
• Resend — email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend solely to deliver your report and communications.
• Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and inbound email routing for pathwiseusa.com. Cloudflare may collect technical data such as IP addresses for security and routing purposes.
• Vercel — website and serverless function hosting. Vercel may collect server logs containing IP addresses and user agents.

4. Data Retention

We retain your email address and report data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion at any time by emailing griffin@pathwiseusa.com.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email griffin@pathwiseusa.com. We will respond to all valid requests within 30 days.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal cookies, only those strictly necessary to operate the Service:

• Authentication cookies (managed by Supabase) — to keep you signed in to your account between visits.
• Cloudflare security cookies — to protect against malicious traffic and bot abuse.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, behavioral tracking pixels, or cross-site trackers. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service (such as signing in) will not work properly without them.

7. International Users (GDPR — EU/UK)

If you access Pathwise from the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar data protection laws, you have additional rights under applicable regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you
• The right to correct inaccurate personal data
• The right to deletion (the "right to be forgotten")
• The right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• The right to object to or restrict processing
• The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email griffin@pathwiseusa.com. We will respond within 30 days. The legal basis for our processing of your data is the performance of our service contract with you, and your consent given at signup.

8. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act:

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share about you
• The right to request deletion of your personal information
• The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — Pathwise does not sell or share your personal information with any party for advertising or commercial purposes
• The right to correct inaccurate personal information
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Pathwise after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
